Susan Hagan established The Dance Factory in Springfield in 1984. The studio now has five experienced teachers and offers classes in Ballet, Jazz, Jazz/HipHop, Modern, Tap and movement classes for pre-schoolers. We are conveniently located next to the town library in downtown Springfield. Susan holds a Master's Degree in choreography from UCLA and has taught on the faculties of the University of Wisconsin and Amherst College. In addition, she has been the resident choreographer for the Weston Playhouse since 1978, choreographing over thirty musicals including the professional Vermont premieres of "The Full Monty", "Les Miserables", "Urinetown" and "Ragtime". The Dance Factory presents the popular Spring recitals each year in May and mounts an annual production of "The Nutcracker" during the Holiday season. "The Nutcracker" is a fundraiser for Arts projects in the public schools and has contributed over twenty thousand dollars to benefit these school programs.
The Dance Factory is proud to be a part of the Springfield community.

The Dance Factory divides the school year (Sept.-May) into three sessions: Fall, Winter and Spring. Each session is approximately 10 weeks long. Tuition is per session and due at the beginning of each session. The annual recital is at the end of the Spring session. We also offer varied classes in a mini session (mid-May through mid-June) and during the summer.
Tuition is due the first class of each session. Discounts for siblings and/or students taking more than one class per week are listed to the left. Students must pay by the session. Due to heavy enrollments we can no longer allow students to pay for single classes. Make-up classes in Jazz and Ballet are always available for students who miss classes during any session.
Fall Session --- begins Sept. 12
Winter Session - begins Nov. 21
Spring Session - begins Feb. 27
